COILS AND STRIPS

These are key starting materials for making pipes, tubes and other structural products. Applications vary depending on the coating, as well as the physical and chemical properties. Hot rolled coils are used in a variety of industries, while cold-rolled coils enable thinner gauges and different types of uncoated finishes. Galvanised coil uses a coat of molten zinc for rust prevention, increasing durability in a variety of environments.

PLATES & SHEETS

Steel sheets starting from 0.9mm thick can be used to produce many other types of steel products, including bars and channels. Steel plates are thicker, and are typically reserved for structural and construction applications such as pressure vessels, high rise buildings, ship building and offshore oil platforms.
